I'm sure everyone by now is familiar with the prime time television show Desperate Housewives. The show is currently in its 5th season and the writers seem to be getting desperate for a new (and actually good) storyline. For the past few years the show has entertained us with it's suspenseful plot lines and interesting characters, but now it feels like the show is reaching its peak. Marc Cherry, the Desperate Houswives' writer and producer and his writing staff seem to be struggling to come up with new story's and scenarios to put the characters in. I guess they started off too strong and too big, and have run out of ideas. There have been multiple scandals like teen pregnancy, pedophiles, tragic fires, cancer, adultery, divorces, stress, deaths, hurricanes, marriages, money problems, murders, blackmails, comas, fatal accidents, backstabbings and many many more. In this current season they've even decided to advance the ages of all the characters, completely wiping out the young cast and replacing them with teenager actors. The death of a main character, Edie (Nicolette Sheridan) in last week's episode has made the show finally become DESPERATE. Especially since the role of the voice over was taken over by this character and the episode was based on flashbacks with no new story. I love this show but I'm sad to say that it has become PATHETIC and sadly I don't personally think that it will be on the air for much longer.
